Executive summary

Fortini Studio, a boutique design and web services studio in Brazil, is hiring a Full-stack Developer to own the technical direction of our new productized offering. You'll work across React and Node to build tools that help SMB founders punch above their weight—shipped to production, autonomous, and compensated generously for the impact you'll drive.

01About Fortini Studio

Fortini is a boutique studio built by two partners who've spent years helping small business founders launch brands that stand out. We specialize in brand identity and web design for SMB founders across Brazil and Latin America—the entrepreneurs who need to look big without the big agency overhead.

For the past two years, we've delivered services. Now we're shifting. We're building a productized SaaS tool that automates and simplifies the brand-to-web workflow. Instead of doing the design work ourselves, we're creating the infrastructure so founders can do more of it themselves—and we help them do it right. This is our next chapter, and we need a full-stack developer who can own it.

02The Role

You'll be the first full-time engineer on the product team. This is not a contractor gig or a supporting role—you'll own features end-to-end, from architecture to deployment. You'll report directly to the partners and have real say in the product roadmap.

What you'll do:

  • Build and ship features for our core SaaS product using React on the frontend and Node on the backend
  • Own the technical architecture decisions for our MVP and beyond
  • Collaborate closely with our design team and founders to translate product vision into code
  • Manage the full lifecycle of features: design review, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring
  • Mentor contractors and future team members as we grow
  • Speak fluent Portuguese and English with our Brazilian audience and international partners

We expect you to move fast, ship often, and care about the details that make user experience feel good.

03What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

  • Shipped production SaaS experience. At least one SaaS product you've released and maintained in production. We care about shipped, not prototype.
  • React + Node stack. Comfortable writing React for the interface and Node.js for the backend. You don't need to be a specialist in either—you need to be effective in both.
  • End-to-end ownership. You're comfortable owning a feature from brief to live. You don't need handholding for architecture, testing, or deployment decisions.
  • Working Portuguese and English. You'll speak Portuguese with our audience and English with international partners. Fluency isn't required—working proficiency is.
  • Pragmatism. You ship what matters, not what's perfect. You know the difference.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with design tools (Figma) or design systems
  • Familiarity with the SMB or creator economy
  • Open-source contributions or public portfolio
  • Experience with containerization, CI/CD, or infrastructure-as-code
  • Interest in building products, not just writing code

04Compensation & Perks

Salary: R$9,000–R$13,000/month (PJ contract)

Range is based on experience, shipped projects, and the seniority signals above. We'll discuss placement openly in your first call.

What comes with it:

  • Fully remote. Work from anywhere in Brazil (or time zones close by)
  • 4.5-day work week. You get Friday afternoons off, every week. We believe in rest.
  • Profit share. After 12 months, you'll earn a percentage of the studio's profit. The more we grow, the more you earn.
  • Education budget. R$1,500/year for courses, books, conferences, or tools that help you grow
  • Health & fitness allowance. R$200/month for gym, therapy, or wellness
  • Async-first culture. We don't do status meetings. We communicate in writing and respect deep work time.

We're small, so there's no corporate bureaucracy. You'll work directly with the founders and have real influence over how we build.

05What Success Looks Like (Year 1)

At 3 months, you'll have shipped your first 3–4 features and become the domain expert on our codebase.

At 6 months, you'll have architected and launched our MVP—a working SaaS product that solves a real problem for founders.

At 12 months, you'll have grown from solo engineer to team lead, mentored at least one contractor, and earned your first profit share distribution. You'll also have clarity on where the product is headed and how you want to grow with us.

If this trajectory doesn't align with your growth goals, let's talk about what does.

06How to Apply

Send us:

  1. Your resume or LinkedIn profile
  2. A link to a SaaS product you've shipped (GitHub repo, live app, or case study)
  3. A short note (2–3 paragraphs) on why Fortini interests you and what product problem you're most excited about solving

Send to [contact@fortini.studio](mailto:contact@fortini.studio) with subject: Full-stack Developer Application

We review applications rolling and typically respond within 5 business days. If you don't hear from us, we weren't the right fit—but we appreciate you applying.

07Our Commitment to You

We're a small team built on directness and respect. You'll get honest feedback, real autonomy, and a seat at the table. We move fast because we have to, but we don't burn people out. We believe good people want to do good work—our job is to get obstacles out of your way.

If you ship great products and care about building something that lasts, let's talk.

Assumptions made
  • Contact email is illustrative; client will provide their actual hiring email
  • Profit share percentage will be negotiated individually during offer stage
  • Education budget and health allowance are offered equally to all full-time product team members
  • Current product MVP is in active development; exact feature set will be clarified during interviews
  • Portuguese fluency is working proficiency (B2+ level) rather than native-level perfection
  • PJ contract structure is standard for Brazilian independent contractor arrangements; client has proper accounting in place

Informational purposes only—not legal or financial advice. This job description is a template; review with your legal and accounting professionals before publishing to ensure compliance with Brazilian labor law, tax implications of PJ contracts, and any equity/profit-share arrangements.
